Terms of Service
Effective September 6, 2026
Agent Chef is a web service at agentchef.net operated by User Kind, a company incorporated in Colorado, USA ("we", "us"). It helps a household plan weekly dinners: an AI agent you bring proposes recipes, household members vote and comment, and the service keeps track of the results, shopping lists, and preferences. By creating a household or using a vote link you agree to these terms.
1. Your account and household
One person (the "owner") creates a household with their email address and is responsible for it: for the members they add, for the contact details they enter for those members, and for the API keys they create. Keep your keys private; anyone holding a key can act on your household through the service. You can revoke a key at any time in Settings.
Household members use personal vote links. They don't need an account. The owner is responsible for having each member's permission before adding their name, phone number, or email.
2. Bring your own agent
Agent Chef does not include an AI agent. You connect your own (for example Claude or ChatGPT) using an API key. Anything that agent does is done on your behalf and at your direction: writing recipes, sending messages to your household, and, if you allow it, filling an online grocery cart. Agent Chef never places orders or moves money. Purchases are made by you or your agent with the retailer of your choice, under that retailer's terms. We are not responsible for what your agent buys, says, or gets wrong, and we recommend reviewing any cart before checkout.
3. Your content
Recipes, comments, ratings, preferences, and pantry lists belong to you and your household. You give us permission to store and display them to your household and to your connected agent so the service works. Don't use the service to store anything unlawful or to harass anyone; we may suspend households that do.
4. Fees and trial
Each household gets a free trial. After that, the service is offered as a paid subscription billed by Stripe. Prices are shown in Settings before you subscribe. See our cancellation and refund policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
5. Availability and changes
Agent Chef is in early access. We work hard to keep it running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, and we'll tell you about significant changes by email or in the app. If we ever shut the service down we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for purchases made by your agent, for recipe outcomes, or for allergies or dietary needs that weren't reflected in your preferences. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
7. Ending things
You can stop using Agent Chef at any time; cancel your subscription in Settings and delete your household by emailing us. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
8. The boring but necessary
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless your local consumer law says otherwise. If we update these terms we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, email household owners. Questions: support@agentchef.net.
